Taxis are the quickest way to get to Sky Garden, but if you're staying at a hotel in Legian, it is easy enough to walk there. Heading south from the memorial, the massive building with edges glowing neon lights are hard to miss. Past Vi Ai Pi Club and across the road from the Maccaroni Club, the 61 Legian entertainment complex (where Sky Garden is housed) stands out from the crowd. At the main entrance, two usher girls greet us and show us upstairs. As you make your way up you can check out the different venues on each level that the complex has to offer - a total of eight pubs and clubs under one roof.

The top floor buffet is impressive, a mouth-watering display of barbecue sauced roast chicken, assortments of salads and pastas, and smoking skewers on a blazing grill. There are many seating options to choose from, with comfortable padded benches and long tables around the edge if you're in for the view. For more mingling you can opt for the long table in the centre under the single tree with bar stool-like seats. Behind, a large projector screen plays action movies with captions, with music provided by the DJ. Legian has a pretty impressive skyline, something we hadn't realized until we made a trip here.
First up it's a cold Bintang, then we head off to queue up at the buffet line. There's bread rolls, fresh salads with various choices of dressing from Thousand Islands to simple mayo, the all-time favourite nasi goreng fried rice, baked beans, sweet barbecue sauced chicken wings and drumsticks, beef hamburgers, baked potatoes, pasta carbonara, sweet corn halves, sausages and a whole host of kebabs and skewers. Also worth checking out is the daily rotating dessert specials that include local favourites and western sweet treats like pancakes and a great assortment of tropical fruits. The all-daily you-can eat buffet is available for two hours.

The bar dominates the southern edge of the rooftop and serves a great range of drinks. A major highlight is the triple vodka fruit shaker that comes in six different flavours: fresh mango, wild raspberry, summer berries, cranberry lemon, lychee and black cherry. There's also a Sky Shisha menu that offers various fruity flavours, which you can combine together to create your own sensational flavour. Sky Garden satisfies your appetite with good food and drinks and 180-degrees views above Legian, where you can stay on head down to the great set of clubbing it offers at at the Sky Dome downstairs.
